JUDGING PROCESS
The Emerge Africa Awards celebrate not just popularity but substantial contributions and impactful achievements within communities and beyond. Our comprehensive judging criteria ensure that we recognize true excellence across a wide variety of categories. Each criterion is applied as necessary in each category to guarantee a fair and thorough evaluation.
In categories such as Humanitarian, we look at the significant impact and reach of the nominee’s work in their respective fields. We evaluate how their efforts have positively influenced their communities and the broader society, measuring tangible results and long-term benefits.
We value originality and creativity, assessing how nominees have introduced innovative solutions or approaches in their work. This criterion looks at their ability to think outside the box and bring fresh, impactful ideas to life.
We believe in the power of the community’s voice. Our awards program includes a voting segment where the public votes for their favorite nominees. These votes are an essential part of the selection process and are taken into consideration alongside other criteria.
We assess how influential nominees are within their communities and among their audiences. This involves looking at their engagement levels, social media presence, and the extent to which they can mobilize and inspire others.
Nominees are evaluated on their ability to lead by example and inspire others through their actions and the work they do. We consider their leadership qualities and the positive influence they exert within their spheres of activity.
We value honesty and genuineness. This criterion assesses the authenticity and integrity of the nominees, ensuring that their work and actions are aligned with ethical standards and demonstrate a genuine commitment to their cause.
We look at the potential of nominees to create a lasting legacy. This involves evaluating their long-term vision and the sustainability of their contributions, ensuring that their impact will endure and continue to benefit future generations.
Nominees are also assessed based on their contributions to education and community development. We look at how they have supported educational initiatives, empowered others through knowledge, and contributed to the overall betterment of their communities.
